SongerPro
Release Version 9.5.2.1
Professional Backing Track Player for Android
New feature - Master Songlist Filter SongerPro user Ricky Ricardo contacted me recently with an idea that I found quite intriguing. His suggestion was that it would be beneficial to users to be able to filter the Master Songlist by using the tracks attached comments. The ability to add a comment to each track has been available for quite some time now and was originally meant as a prompt by displaying extra track details, such as what key the track was in or what genre it was etc… The comment is added by accessing the Track Volume setting by long clicking the Title Bar and then adding the info into the CODE box provided. After saving the settings, the Master Songlist will display the attached comment to the right of the track name.
Title Bar
In order to apply the filter you need to long press the Master Songlist box at the top of the Play Setlists screen. If you have added comments to the tracks you will be presented with the following options box asking you to select a filter type. The filter types given will mirror exactly what you have entered in the tracks code box - so if you choose say Pop then that code will be applied and a filtered setlist will appear.
Whilst the filtered setlist will not appear in the ‘Play Setlists’ screen it can be accessed by choosing the ‘Edit Setlists’ instead. By choosing the ‘Edit Setlists’ option a setlist called ‘Filterlist’ will be visible and can be edited like any other playlist. If you want to save this list you must first assign it a different name as the Filterlist will get overwritten everytime the filter is applied. You can obviously create several pre-filtered setlists using this method, so in effect you could have something like the following: PARTYLIST 60’S MUSIC COUNTRY etc, etc…. Another shout out to Ricky Ricardo for this excellent suggestion!

NOTE: The filtered list can be easily removed from view by clicking the devices back button.
